In 2018, the Valley of Pittsburgh became the first Valley to simulcast a degree live as they premiered their adapted version of the 8°, “Solomon Ascending,” traditionally known as “Intendant of the Building.” Featuring modern-day board room (and it’s conflicts), multimedia integration, and much more, we can’t wait to share the incredible performance and creative production of our brethren!

Based on the Old Testament story of King David and his assignment to his son, the future King Solomon.

Philosophy: The degree reminds us that each honor we receive requires attention to a particular duty.

  • The degree will be presented securely through the member center on the website.
  • Simply log in to the member center by 7 p.m. (ET) on July 23, and click the "8° Watch Party" link. You can see it below.
  • Register in the member center if you do not already have an account.
  • The broadcast will not be recorded.
