The Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library
Our Supreme Council headquarters in Lexington, MA is also home to our Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library, one of our Scottish Rite charities. The Museum & Library aims to be the "historical society" of American Freemasonry by collecting, preserving, and celebrating the history of the Scottish Rite, Freemasonry, and fraternalism. The Museum & Library also houses decorative arts, documents, artifacts, photographs, and fine art related to aspects of American history. The Museum's collection includes more than 17,000 objects, including artifacts from the time of our Founding Fathers and Masonic artifacts with special meaning to the fraternity.
The Van Gorden-Williams Library & Archives
Our Van Gorden-Williams Library & Archives has one of the world's most comprehensive collections in the United States on the study of American Freemasonry and fraternalism. The collection comprises over 60,000 books, 1,600 serial titles, and 2,000 cubic feet of archival materials related to Freemasonry, fraternalism, and American history.
