Will I be required to do any memorizing?

You will not be required to do any memorizing to earn the degrees and become a member of 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemasonry™. To become a Scottish Rite Mason, you witness the degree ceremonies and drama and listen to the illustrative lectures. In order to more fully understand and appreciate what you have seen and heard, most 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemasons™ attend presentations of the degrees more than once.

For members who do want to get more involved with the degree presentations, there are opportunities to act in minor or major roles, serve as a member of the choir, or participate as part of the behind-the-scenes crew.

Beyond the degree presentations, members can also continue their education of 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemasonry™ and journey deeper into our six Core Values through the Hauts Grades Academy (HGA), our premiere educational program. HGA offers a curriculum that provides an opportunity to delve deeper into the study of our Scottish Rite degrees.

In addition, Brothers can further discover what facets of our fraternity best serve their needs and interests through Pathfinder. Our member-exclusive program helps Brothers uncover the "Journey of a Lifetime" through participation in a multitude of activities, pushing men to get involved locally and with the Scottish Rite at large.

If you are interested in more deeply exploring the philosophies and teachings of Freemasonry, learn more about becoming a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason™ and submit a member application.
